Any malware that exposes the privacy should be addressed immediately. While addressing questions about recent spread of ransomware, we also need to think deeper, and remember that our user data had been on sale for a while now. Here is one recent article shared below.

When users/consumers browsing data and more are sold to third-party without their knowledge, should n't those be ransomware of a kind - even of greater proportions considering the size of users involved? May be, the private information of people affected by recent ransomware might have already been sold earlier. Just my 2 tulip thought.
